Before you get in touch with us to schedule your appointment, however, we ask that you take the time to review this page. And of course, you can reach out to us with any additional questions you might have.
Your First Visit
After checking in with the front desk, you can relax in our reception area until your dentist is ready to see you. At the treatment room, scans and X-rays will be taken as required, and we’ll take the opportunity to ask about any dental concerns that might be on your mind. Then we’ll perform a routine oral examination and cleaning before going over our findings and explaining what treatments, if any, you might need to undergo to protect your teeth and gums from harm.
The dental insurance process can be confusing if you’re not used to navigating it, but luckily our friendly staff at My Ellicott City Dentist is here to walk you through it. We take many different PPO plans and are in-network with numerous providers. You can count on us to fill out the paperwork and file all of the necessary claims so that you can save as much money as possible after your visit. You can call our dental office directly to find out if we accept your particular plan, and we can go over the details of your coverage once you arrive on the day of your visit.
We are in network with:
- Carefirst BCBS
- Care PPO
- Delta Dental
- GEHA/Connection Dental
- United Concordia
We know that not all of our patients have access to dental insurance, which is why we started our in-house Membership Club. Under this plan, you’ll enjoy benefits that are very similar to what you might receive under normal insurance. However, our plan is less costly and comes with far fewer restrictions; you can expect it to cover most basic treatments as well as many advanced procedures. The payment process itself is simpler as well; you don’t have to worry about factors like annual maximums, deductibles, or insurance agents asking about the current state of your health. If you don’t have dental insurance, you may find yourself asking how you can cover the cost of treatment for yourself or your loved ones. One possible answer is third-party financing through CareCredit. You won’t pay everything at once; instead, the price will be broken into monthly installments that you’ll pay on a monthly basis. You’ll have the opportunity to pick a payment plan that comfortably fits into your budget. Said plans involve very little interest, and many have no interest at all.
